| Description | I saw Foxconn's report on Foxconn SW implementation. You need to work with TVS to integrate and test. I think TVS Test application will be used for your test. I attached their app. here. Could you test it and let me know your test result ? Test application is in AudioSetting. And you connect Mic to Mic port. And Mic On and speak something then you can hear your voice from TV. And you also check the Echo leve with this application | ||||

Hi Dixon, Please update your testing result here. Hi Mr. Yoon, As I know, Mic feauture will be used by everysing app and we will need this app to test it or TVS will follow it up after we verified the test result is ok using their test app. Please kindly advice. |

Now there is unavailable everysing App. I will check it when it available in Eagle. |

I tested it with Mic. But the volume is too low. And I cannot test echo. Please let me know how I can test it. The Mic volume is too low than Kaon. Please compare with Kaon. |

Hi Yoon, About the Volume is too low issue, we did some modification in release r12 to support volume level 0~100. TVS System Test app in release r12 also changed to set volume level 0~100. But the volume bar in TVS System Test app still has bug, The volume bar will show full level when click "MIC VOLUME UP" button 4 times. But volume is actually set to volume level 40. If you keep press "MIC VOLUME UP" button, the volume will increase until it reaches 100. So, when you test the volume level with TVS System Test app, please be aware of this bug. |

Hi Jacky, Could you check the loudness and the echo effect of Eagle Microphone comparing with Kaon box by an equipment? We have check them in real usage condition(with mouth and ear) on the recent SW and think it is still not enough as compared with Kaon box. So please check whether it is possible to measure and compare the loudness and echo effect by an equipment, and if it is not enough, please adjust it once again. I hope close all MIC related issues within next week, because BMT has been already started. Thanks. |

Hi Mr. Lee, The test result of my measurement using Apx585 is that Eagle is louder than Kaon. Test result such as attachments. Eagle: 2.958 dBFS Kaon: 1.209 dBFS |

Hi Mr. Yoon and Mr. Lee, From SW point of view, I update status about "White noise" issue after working with TI. Eagle use TLV320ADC3101 to convert Mic. analog signal to digital. There is "Noise Threshold" parameter in TLV320ADC3101 chip and it is applied only when AGC (Auto-Gain Control) is enabled. The "White noise" will be gone after we enable AGC and set proper value for Noise Threshold. However, audio quality will be not as good as AGC is disabled. TI FAE explains that is a trad-off between noise and audio quality. |

We checked it with both AGC enabled and disabled. We cannot enable AGC. The audio howling is too big. And we checked it with TV. The white noise is not too big, but some monitor that ALT have(LG) has a big white noise. Foxconn reported that it needs HW changes to reduce white noise in current HW design. Currrently we decided to keep current configuration(not use AGC). We cannot change HW now. |
